With now having 3 tanks, which I must add all are SmokTech styles, I decided to purchase another. You might ask why I’m purchasing the same styled tank… Well, my answer is – they work. Mind you, I haven’t used any other type of tank besides these that come with the flanged cartomizer, but right now I have no need to switch to anything different, as I have no problems with them.
Recently, another vendor in the community was telling me about her Colored Tank purchase from AltSmoke.com and after she linked me to these tanks, I knew I had to get my hands on one of them. These tanks come in multiple colors (Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Yellow) along with chrome top and bottom caps. Very slick-looking and a great addition to any PV or collection. With only a 2 day turn-around on shipping, receiving my package quickly was a plus. The Colored Tank came in just as fine-looking as it is in the pictures and my first thoughts, I knew I wouldn’t stop with just 1 color.
At the first time of using this tank, I couldn’t seem to knock this ass taste coming from the 1.5ohm dual coil cartomizer and after messing with the carto for quite some time, I finally came to the conclusion and from others opinions in a hangout, this cartomizer came faulty. Good thing I have extra flanged cartomizers, right? – The faulty cartomizer was no big deal because I know it happens and not every carto will work perfectly. I then contacted AltSmoke, gave them feedback and let them know that the tank came with was a dud cartomizer and there was no big need for them to send out another for replacement. They replied back insisting to send out a replacement. I didn’t argue.
After replacing my faulty cartomizer with one that works, the tank seems to hold the liquid just fine and vapes perfect. One thing I really liked about this tank and where it differed from the others is, it seems to have a much tighter fit to the cartomizer. When you slide the cartomizer in from the bottom, once the flange reaches its stopping point, you hear a click, like it snapped in place. I like the tight fit. On the other hand, one thing that I didn’t like about this tank, is that even though the cartomizer didn’t work properly, the hole pre-drilled was too small, much like the other pre-drilled cartomizers I’ve used. The hole size is just like the rest of SmokTech type cartomizers and when using a 50% or above e-liquid mixture, you’ll have problems with juice flow. Nothing a small nail and hammer can’t fix though, yea?
At the amazing low price this colored tank is being sold at, it was a for sure win in my book. This has been one of my better purchases for the money and I’m very pleased with the results.
